It will be about buying bulk quantities of goods if you are planning to build your own traditional business with China – “buy-sell.” Someone may say that Internet trading will help us. No questions asked – online stores, Taobao, Ali Baba, etc. offer millions of completely diverse products.
But if you need a product, not for personal use and not a small wholesale lot for your friends. If you plan to spend more than one thousand US dollars and at the same time to be sure of the quality of the purchased goods? Can Internet resources 100% guarantee that the goods sold really meet all your needs? Delivery time, terms of payment, acceptance of goods, documentary confirmation of the transaction – are you happy with everything when buying online?
China can be easily divided into provinces specializing in the production of certain products. This applies both too heavy industry and to the production of consumer goods. Historically, since the beginning of the 90s, cross-border trade has occupied the lion’s volume of transactions. The cities of Suifenhe, Manchuria, Haile and a number of others are literally “sharpened” for trade with Russian entrepreneurs.
These are signs in Russian and numerous Chinese sellers who speak Russian, restaurants offering food and “entertainment” familiar to our bodies. In a word, all the conditions were made to attract a Russian buyer for a dozen years. But over time, the situation has changed.
Competition is already in Russia in the sale of goods from China, the opening of huge trading markets and centers in large cities where the Chinese themselves traded – all this made their own buy-sell business in China more costly and less profitable. And Russian entrepreneurs began to try to bypass Chinese border intermediaries directly with factories, most often located in the depths of China and not having experience with Russia.
The so-called CONSULTING in CHINA, created by Russians who speak Chinese, came to the rescue and helped find production, conclude contracts that control the manufacture and transportation of goods from China to Russia. This civilized way of doing business with China is currently booming.
Entire teams of Russian children plow the vast expanses of China in search of cheap and high-quality Chinese goods and manufacturers who check the finished cargo and ship from China to the Russian Federation. True, the quality of services and the quality of work performed have become significantly different. Many Russian freelancers simply do not have the necessary knowledge, but at the same time, they take quite a lot of money for work. But customers continue to pay money. Why?
I think that in many respects there are stereotypes of doing business in China. First, without knowing the language, it is impossible to travel around China yourself and find manufacturers and negotiate with them. Secondly, the legislation of the PRC is very complex and it will be very difficult to prove its case in case of disputes with the supplier or seller. Thirdly, the logistics from the Middle Kingdom is so complicated that there are big losses if you yourself customs and transport goods from China. In fact, everything is not so scary, but I will continue on the next topic.
